Thank you for your interest in commissioning a painting. I would like to take this opportunity to express how much I love portraiture and getting stuck into painting all types of faces. I am forever intrigued and fascinated with emotion and this is an aspect I chase after.

Some things to note …
Sitting
I like to get to know my sitter.
I prefer to work directly from life in my studio but will also require a photographic reference. Ideally I prefer to work with my own reference images so I will organise to take photos. If this is not possible due to location or otherwise I will organise a video call with you.
Waiting
Ideally I need a minimum of ten weeks notice if you have a specific occasion in mind. This allows for drying time. The more notice the better as the postal service can be unpredictable at the best of times.
Anticipating
Once we have had our chat and agreed on the aesthetic of the piece I get to work. It is not possible to make changes or requests after this point as it will be to the detriment of the finished piece.
Framing
My price does not include framing but I am more than happy to offer you guidance in this area if desired.
